How to Amplify These Voices

On Social Media: Follow accounts across multiple platforms. Turn on post notifications for key accounts. Like, comment, share posts. Add your own commentary when sharing. Use relevant hashtags: #FreePalestine #GazaUnderAttack #CdnPoli. Report when accounts are suppressed or shadowbanned. Screenshot important content (in case deleted). Don’t share graphic content without content warnings. Donate to organizations if able. Attend events they organize. Participate in campaigns they launch.

Beyond Social Media: Use as sources for papers, presentations. Quote Palestinian voices directly. Credit properly. Bring speakers to your university. Host screenings of their work. Organize Q&As. Push back when Palestinian voices are censored. Challenge biased coverage. Support when they face attacks.

Note on Censorship

Social media platforms routinely suppress Palestinian content: shadowbanning (limiting reach), account suspensions, content removal, delayed posts during critical moments.

Counter it: Engage heavily with Palestinian content. Report censorship when you see it. Use multiple platforms. Archive important content. Support platform alternatives.

Start today: Follow 10 Palestinian accounts (5 journalists + 5 organizations). Follow 5 Canadian organizations. Turn on notifications for 3 key accounts. Share one post with your network. Engage with 5 Palestinian posts (like, comment, share).

Ongoing: Check these accounts daily. Share at least one post per week. Engage regularly to counter algorithm suppression. Report censorship when you see it.
